We are back!

New and Returning Classes and Workshop for the 2019 - 2020 School Year

Partnering with the Following:

  • High Desert Cancer Connection/Journey thru Cancer - English and Spanish. Support Group for Cancer Survivors and their Caregivers

  • Plaza Comunitaria/Instituto Nacional Para la Educación de los Adultos/Secretaría de Educación Pública - A program designed to facilitate Spanish students to attain certificates of completion for Primary and Secondary Education

  • San Bernardino County Tobacco Control Program/California Health Collaborative/Hesperia ACTION Meeting - English and Spanish. Offering community information and resources on Tobacco

  • San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools/Alliance for Education/12 Powers of Parenting - A 6 week course for families on the journey to a healthy emotional, mental and physical lifestyle

  • University of California/Agriculture and Natural Resources - Spanish. Offering 8 week Nutrition Classes for Parents

  • Victor Community Support Services/Life Skills Workshop - Workshops for Anxiety and Relaxation Techniques, Women's Support Group I Am Important, and Real Colors learning personality types

Continuing Classes:

  • Basic Math for GED Prep - Spanish. Providing basic math education for students to achieve academic goals

  • Computer Classes - Offering a variety of computer class subjects. Class subject change each month

  • Conversational English - Join the discussion. Helping English language learners take the next step

  • Crochet Class - English and Spanish. Enjoy an educational and social environment to learn crochet.

  • English Class - Offered in the evenings to English language learners

  • Rosetta Stone - Online English Language Learning Program. Students can use the Family Resource Center computer lab or their own device

  • Sewing Class - Spanish. Bring your sewing machine and learning standard stitches, cutting techniques, patterns and fabrics.

  • Tutoring/K-6 - English Language student tutoring offered at the Family Resource Center on weekdays


Pre-K Academy News:

We are thrilled to share that our Preschool Program for 2019-2020 is up and running at full capacity. We anticipate a successful year full of rich learning experiences for our students and building a strong partnership with their families.

We are proud to announce that our Preschool Program, HUSD Pre-K Academy, is beginning a new and exciting journey. We have chosen to participate in the Quality Start San Bernardino County (QSSB) Quality Rating and Improvement System ( QRIS).
