Thank you for your interest in our Pre-K Academy Program. This program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Classes are held Monday through Thursday for 3 hours a day. Occasionally, in-person classes may be canceled and Zoom classes may be offered instead. Classes are offered at the following sites: Cottonwood, Hollyvale, Joshua Circle, Juniper, Mesa Grande, and Oak Hills.

Pre-K Academy Selection Criteria:

• Children must turn 4 years of age between May 1, 2024 and February 1, 2025

• Must live WITHIN HUSD boundaries

• Children must be COMPLETELY potty-trained (No diapers or pull-ups)

• Must provide all required documents

Required Documents:
As part of the application packet, you will need to provide us with the originals of the following forms:

• Official Birth Certificate

• Current Health Physical - dated within 1 year of the first day of school

• Up-to-date Immunization Record

• Proof of Address (utility bill in parent's name)

• Parent's Picture ID (we don't keep a copy with the child's record)

Please note, the application is considered incomplete without these documents.

Applications will be avaliable for pick up beginning Monday, April 8, 2024, Monday- Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Family Resource Center, 16527 Lemon Street, Hesperia, CA 92345

We will be accepting completed applications:

April 15, 2024 - June 20, 2024 (Monday - Thursday) 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Closed on Fridays)

June 24, 2024 - July 5, 2024, Office will be closed for summer break

July 8, 2024 - August 1, 2024 (Monday - Thursday) 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Closed on Fridays)

Once we received your completed application with all the required documents, it will be processed. You will then receive a notification by phone of your child's acceptance to the Pre-K Program.

*Eligibility is determined by family size and gross monthly income, English Language Learners, or Foster Youth. However, we encourage everyone to apply in the event we have available slots. Once our classes are full, your child will be placed on our waiting list.*
